Alto and S-Presso became safer than before! Maruti added this special safety feature, no increase in price

Keeping in mind the safety of passengers, the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) today equipped its two entry level cars with new safety features. In a press release issued by the company, it was told that now Electronic Stability Program Plus (ESP) feature will be available in Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 and Maruti Espresso. This safety feature is now being given as standard in all the cars of the company.

The car has become safer and the price has not increased:

Maruti Suzuki says that the Electronic Stability Program Plus (ESP) feature has been added to both these cars, but there has been no increase in their price. Commenting on this, Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Electronic Stability Program has been included as standard in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio. This will provide customers with a better and safer driving experience.”

How is Maruti Alto K10:

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is the cheapest car in the country which also comes with automatic transmission. Its automatic variant is also based on the VXI model which comes in two trims. The price of this car ranges from Rs 5.61 lakh to Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom). In this car, the company has used a 1 liter capacity petrol engine which generates 57PS of power and 82Nm of torque, this engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission gearbox.

The top variant of Maruti Alto K10 has multi-function steering wheel, touch screen, anti-lock braking system, power windows front, wheel cover, power steering, air conditioner etc. In terms of safety, this car has features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reversing camera and rear parking sensor. Usually, this car gives a mileage of 24 km per liter.

A look at the Maruti S-Presso:

This small car of Maruti is famous for its SUV look, although it is a hatchback car but the company has given it such a design that makes it a bit sporty. The automatic variant of this car is based on the VXI model which comes in only two trims. In this, the company has used a 1 liter capacity petrol engine which generates 68PS of power and 90Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed (AMT) gearbox. The price of its automatic variant ranges from Rs 5.76 lakh to Rs 6.05 lakh.

To make the cabin of this car sporty, it has been decorated with orange color accents, which you will find clearly in the interior. Maruti S-Preso VXI Plus has features like multi-function steering wheel, power adjustable exterior rear view mirror, touch screen, anti-lock braking system, power windows front, wheel cover, passenger airbag, driver airbag, power steering, air conditioner (AC). Usually this car gives a mileage of up to 25 kilometers per liter.

How the Electronic Stability Program works:

The Electronic Stability Program+ system prevents the vehicle from skidding. The ESP system integrates the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control System (TCS) and Stability Control (SC). This system uses a series of sensors to monitor the vehicle’s speed. The sensors send this data to the electronic control unit which helps keep the car stable.

After adding the new electronic stability program, driving Maruti cars will become even safer. Now safety features like dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), reverse parking sensor, engine immobilizer will be available as standard in Maruti cars.
