Alliance with AAP or displeasure of MPs? Now tussle in Congress over Haryana elections, CEC meeting to be held again

The political temperature is high in Haryana regarding the assembly elections. The names of the candidates are being discussed and the list is being finalized. Apart from this, the phase of alliance is also going on. Amidst all this, on one hand, after the release of the first list of BJP, rebellion of leaders has been seen, while on the other hand, the tussle has started in the Congress before the release of the list. In view of this, the party high command has again decided to call a meeting of the CEC regarding the Haryana elections. The CEC will be called at 5 pm on Friday.

The Congress high command has taken this decision after a marathon meeting of a sub-committee formed to resolve the tussle over seats. In such a situation, it may take more time for the first list of Congress to be released. Actually, there is a tussle over a large number of seats in Haryana Congress. The CEC has been called again to find a solution to this. Even after the sub-committee meeting, the tussle continues over more than 30 seats.

In political circles, the reason behind this tussle is being attributed to the alliance with Aam Aadmi Party and the decision of not giving tickets to MPs. It is being said that some MPs of the party are angry for not getting tickets. However, no statement has come from the party regarding this yet.

Sources say that the Congress president believes that it should be placed before the apex body Congress CEC. The sub-committee has received suggestions of more than one name on more than 30 seats. The sub-committee will meet again at around 11 am to decide on more than 30 seats. Out of 90, more than 45 seats have been settled, but almost all the rest are yet to be decided.

Congress leaders are opposing alliance with AAP

Haryana leader Captain Ajay Yadav has also expressed his objection to the alliance with Aam Aadmi Party. He said that the central leadership will decide on the AAP alliance but in my opinion Congress does not need an alliance in Haryana. Earlier, Leader of Opposition in Punjab Pratap Singh Bajwa had also opposed the Congress-AAP alliance. He had said that Congress should not have an alliance with Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana, the more distance there is from AAP, the better it will be for Congress.

Many meetings have been held between AAP and Congress regarding alliance

All eyes are on the possible alliance between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. Both the parties are continuously holding meetings regarding this alliance. Several rounds of meetings have been held. But there is a deadlock over the seat sharing. According to sources, Aam Aadmi Party is demanding 10 seats in Haryana, while Congress has offered 7 seats. Aam Aadmi Party sources say that they contested one seat in the Lok Sabha elections. There are 9 assembly seats in this Lok Sabha constituency. On this basis, AAP wants to get 10 seats in the assembly. Congress has formed a committee to look into the possibilities of alliance. This committee will look into all the aspects related to the alliance in the state and submit a report to the party high command. On the basis of this report, it will be decided how many seats can be given to AAP in the state assembly elections.

There is displeasure in BJP too after the list was released

BJP had released a list of 67 candidates on Wednesday. But after the release of this list, BJP has also had to face the displeasure of its leaders. Many leaders have resigned from the party. Some have announced to contest the election as independents. Many leaders including Energy and Jail Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala and MLA Laxman Das Napa have expressed their displeasure over ticket denial and announced to leave the party.

Congress CEC meeting has already taken place

Congress’s election committee meeting was held on Tuesday. According to sources, about 49 seats were discussed in the CEC meeting. It is being told that final talks have been held on about 30 to 35 seats. In the selection of candidates, the focus was on the possibility of the candidate’s victory, on the basis of this the names have been decided. Because this is the most important factor. Apart from this, the performance of MLAs who have been MLAs many times is also being monitored.

Voting in Haryana on October 5

Voting for Haryana assembly elections will be held on October 5. Here votes will be cast on all 90 seats in a single phase. Earlier voting was to be held here on October 1. But the date has been extended due to the centuries-old festival of Bishnoi community, Asoj Amavasya. Its results will be declared on October 8 along with the Jammu and Kashmir elections.

The term of the 90-seat Haryana Assembly is ending on November 3. In the last election, BJP could not get a majority. Later, it formed the government by forming an alliance with Dushyant Chautala’s Jannayak Janata Party. However, the alliance of BJP and JJP broke in March this year. Currently, NDA has 43 seats and India Block has 42 seats in Haryana.
