Issues like Kanwar Yatra, NEET paper leak and the post of Deputy Speaker in Lok Sabha were raised in the all-party meeting called by the government on Sunday ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, sources said. JP Nadda and Kiren Rijiju were present from the BJP side in the meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Gaurav Gogoi, Jairam Ramesh and K Suresh were present from the Congress side. Sources said the Samajwadi Party and the AAP raised the issue of the Uttar Pradesh government’s controversial directive asking eateries on the Kanwar Yatra route to display the names of owners. BJP allies Janata Dal (United) and LJP (Ram Vilas) and Rashtriya Janata Dal raised the demand for Bihar. Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP also demanded special category status for Andhra Pradesh. “In the all-party meeting of the leaders of the House today chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, JD(U) leader demanded special status for Bihar. YSRCP leader demanded special status for Andhra Pradesh. Strangely, TDP leaders remained silent on this issue,” he said in a post on Instagram.
