Actually, after September 3, you will not be able to book flight tickets of this airline and after November 11, the company’s planes will not be able to fly in the sky. Paving the way for Air India-Vistara merger
There is an alert for passengers traveling by Vistara Airlines. If you want to travel in its plane, then book your ticket by September 3, because after this Vistara booking will be stopped. The airline’s planes will not fly after September 11. Talking about the reason behind this, Singapore Airlines has got FDI approval for the merger of Air India and Vistara (Air India-Vistara Merger). It is worth noting that Vistara is a joint venture of Air India and Singapore Airlines. On completion of its merger, all Vistara planes will be integrated into Air India operations.

What will passengers do after November 11?
After getting FDI approval from the government, now the process of this merger will be expedited and if the report is to be believed, this merger will be completed by the end of the year 2024. Vistara Airlines has shared information about this through a post on the social media platform X. It has been said that after September 3, 2024, the booking of the airline will be closed and tickets for travel on or after November 12, 2024 will not be booked. After this, all Vistara flights will be operated by Air India and booking will also be done from there. That is, Vistara’s last flight will take off on November 11, 2024.

What did Vistara CEO say on the merger?
Vistara started flight operations on 5 November 2013 and now it is going to be halted. Regarding this merger, CEO Vinod Kannan has thanked the customers for trusting the airlines and traveling with it for a decade. Along with this, he said that the purpose of merger with Air India is to provide a larger fleet and network of aircraft to give a better experience to the passengers. He said that both the airlines will share regular updates through their websites and social media posts. Air India CEO Campbell Wilson also reiterated Vinod Kannan’s point and said that after the merger, operations, employees and customer services will be streamlined with efficient collaboration.

The merger was announced in 2022
Let us tell you that the Air India-Vistara Merger was announced in the month of November 2022. Now Singapore Airlines has got government approval for FDI, which has a 49 percent stake in Vistara Airlines. While Tata Group-owned Air India has a 51 percent stake in Vistara. This information has been shared by Singapore Airlines in the stock exchange there. Campbell Wilson said that after regulatory approval, Vistara’s planes and crew members will be included in Air India.
