Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s last film ‘Sarfira’ was released recently. Despite decent reviews, this film of Akshay also failed to attract the public to the theatres and flopped. With ‘Sarfira’, Akshay has now given 9 flop films in 3 years.

Akshay’s career has never seen such a long cold phase and his work ethic which has been his trademark is now being trolled on social media. Akshay has often been trolled on social media for doing 4 films in a year. Now Akshay has responded to this.

‘What will I do for the rest of the day?’
Akshay, who is busy promoting ‘Sarfira’, talked about his career in a conversation with Ghazal Alagh. Akshay said that people ask him why he does 4 films in a year and why he doesn’t focus on just one film.

He said, ‘People ask me why does he do four films in a year… he should do one film… let me do one film, what will I do the rest of the day? Should I come to your house??’

‘Lucky are those who get work’
Akshay further said, ‘Many people tell others that they work a lot… son remember, those people are lucky who get work. Work is not available here. Everyday someone or the other says, unemployment is going on, this is going on, that is going on. The one who is getting work, let him do it.’

Since the lockdown, Akshay’s films are not performing at the box office like they used to. Except ‘Sooryavanshi’, not a single film with Akshay in the lead role has been successful at the box office.

Akshay Kumar’s latest film ‘Sarfira’ is a remake of the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Its story is based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, founder of airline service Air Deccan. Now Akshay will soon be seen in the film ‘Khel Khel Mein’. Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor and Amy Virk will also be seen in this film. ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is releasing in theaters on 15 August. Akshay’s film will clash with Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ and John Abraham’s ‘Veda’.
