Ajay Devgan and Tabu starrer film ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ has been released in theatres. Tabu has taken the responsibility of promoting the film on her shoulders. The actress is constantly talking about it in interviews. The film did not get a very special response from critics on the first day. Now its opening day collection has also come out, which shows that the audience has not given much love to ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’.
Ajay-Tabu’s film gets a slow start
‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ is the 10th film of actors Tabu and Ajay Devgan together. It was believed that the sizzling chemistry of the two would set the theatres on fire. However, nothing like that happened. According to the report of Saconilk, this film has earned only Rs 2 crore at the box office on Friday.

Earlier, Ajay Devgan’s film ‘All the Best’ had earned so little at the box office. In 2009, this film earned 1.82 crores on the first day at the box office. Even if we compare the opening day collections of the actor’s recently released films ‘Maidan’ and ‘Shaitan’, the opening of ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ is far behind their collections. ‘Maidan’ earned 7.25 crores on the first day and ‘Shaitan’ earned 15.21 crores.
Ajay Devgan’s new film has got a worse opening than Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Sarfira’ which was released last month. ‘Sarfira’ had an opening of Rs 2.4 crore at the box office. ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ has been released on 2 August after postponing its original release date. It was earlier scheduled to release on 5 July. But it was postponed in view of Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Kalki AD 2898’. Now it seems that the makers have not got the benefit of this decision.
Janhvi Kapoor’s condition is also not good
‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ clashes with Janhvi Kapoor’s film ‘Uljh’. The condition of this movie is also not very good at the box office. According to reports, ‘Uljh’ has collected Rs 1.1 crore on the first day at the box office. This is Janhvi Kapoor’s 5th film to be released in theatres. This is the actress’ second film to be released in 2024. Earlier, her film ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ was released, which opened with Rs 7 crore on its opening day. It remains to be seen what wonders both the films do in the future.
