In October last year, Agniveer Amritpal Singh committed suicide while on duty in Jammu and Kashmir. A month later in November, Aparna Nair, who was undergoing training as an Agniveer, committed suicide. These cases of soldiers associated with the Agniveer scheme are serious. Under what pressure are these soldiers working? Why are they being forced to commit suicide? This should be investigated.’
