Agni-4 Missile: India successfully tested nuclear missile Agni-4, China and Pakistan are afraid of it

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has successfully tested its powerful Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) Agni-4 after two years. This testing was done on 6 September 2024 at APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Chandipur, Odisha. Earlier it was tested on 6 June 2022.

During this test, the Agni missile met the set standards. The Strategic Force Command has said that this was a routine training launch. In which all the operational parameters have been re-checked. Through this testing, India wants to tell that it will maintain its credible minimum deterrence capability.

Agni-4 IRBM, Nuclear Missile, DRDO

This is the fourth dangerous ballistic missile of the Agni missile series of India’s Strategic Force Command. It is lighter than other missiles in the world of its range.

Agni-4 missile was jointly developed by DRDO and Bharat Dynamics Limited. Its weight is 17 thousand kilograms. Its length is 66 feet. It can carry three types of weapons. These include conventional, thermobaric and strategic nuclear weapons.

The active range of Agni-4 is 3500 to 4000 kilometers. It can fly straight up to a maximum height of 900 kilometers. Its accuracy is 100 meters, that is, while attacking, it destroys all objects coming within a radius of 100 meters. That is, the enemy or the target cannot run too far even if it wants to.

Agni-4 is launched from an 8×8 transporter erector launcher or a rail mobile launcher. Its navigation can be controlled digitally. Its avionics system is so reliable that you can fire it towards the enemy with great accuracy.

The first successful test of Agni-4 was conducted on 15 November 2011. After that, a total of 8 tests have been conducted including the latest test. One ton of weapons can be loaded in it. This missile can enter the atmosphere while enduring a temperature of 3000 degrees Celsius. This means that it can also be used to attack in space in the future.
