After the Pooja Khedkar controversy, more than 30 officers are on the radar, UPSC has sent complaints

After the controversy over dismissed trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar, more such cases may come to light. Because after the Pooja Khedkar case, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has received complaints of more than 30 such officers who have tampered with their certificates. The commission may soon investigate such officers. However, no official information has been given by the commission in this regard yet.

Actually, UPSC’s civil service exam is one of the most difficult and prestigious exams in the country. Through this exam, IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc. officers are selected, after which they are given major responsibilities. They have the reins of everything from the country’s development work to the security system in their hands. In such a situation, selection for big posts in government departments through fraud or wrong means is really worrying.

Action may be taken against more than 30 officers

According to media reports, after the Pooja Khedkar controversy, UPSC has received complaints of more than 30 officers who were selected by tampering with documents. It has been claimed that those selected officers have given wrong information in their certificates and other details. According to the report, UPSC has forwarded the complaints to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). If the allegations are found to be true, strict action can be taken.

A new system is being prepared, rigging in UPSC exam will be impossible

On the other hand, the government is actively discussing measures to prevent misuse of disability criteria and quotas by candidates, with several meetings being held on the matter. Both the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and LBSNAA are preparing a protocol to address these shortcomings and better identify serious concerns. UPSC has updated its software and protocols to prevent name change fraud. The new system will now detect if a candidate’s name, linked to his or her date of birth, has changed between UPSC attempts.

The Center removed Pooja Khedkar with immediate effect

The central government has relieved dismissed trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) with immediate effect. The government took this action against Pooja Khedkar on charges of misusing OBC and SC quota in the examination. Earlier, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had cancelled her candidature on July 31. Also, she has been barred from future examinations.
