After this basement incident, action has been taken against many coaching centres in Old Rajendra Nagar, where the basement was being misused. So far, 13 coaching centres running in basements at different places in Delhi have been sealed. Actually, libraries are common in basements here and now action is being taken against them.

Three UPSC aspirants died in a basement accident at Rau IAS Coaching Center in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi on Saturday evening. The deceased include Shreya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana and Naveen Dalvin from Kerala. It is being told that more than 30 students were studying in the library located in the basement of the coaching center, when the drain water suddenly filled the basement, and the students got caught in it. The Home Ministry has formed a committee to investigate the accident.
