After petrol and diesel, there is a big increase in bus fares in Punjab, 100 KM travel became costlier by Rs 46

The Punjab government has made bus travel expensive. Due to which now people traveling will have to spend more money than before. On Saturday, the bus fare in Punjab has been increased from 23 paise to 46 paise per kilometer. Information in this regard has been given by the state government. Earlier, two days ago, the Punjab government had increased the prices of petrol and diesel. According to the information received from the government, the maximum increase is 46 paise per kilometer. In such a situation, if you travel 100 kilometers, then you will have to pay 46 rupees more than before.

Now the fare of ordinary AC bus will be 174 paise per kilometer

The fare hike rule will come into effect from Sunday. The fare of ordinary bus will now be 145 paise per kilometer. Earlier this fare was 122 paise per kilometer. According to the order, the state government has increased the fare of ordinary AC bus by 28 paise. According to this, now the fare of ordinary AC bus will be 174 paise per kilometer. Earlier it was 146 paise per kilometer.

At the same time, the fare of integral coach has been increased by 42 paise per kilometer. Now 261 paise will be charged per kilometer for integral coach. Earlier the fare of integral coach was 219 paise per kilometer. Apart from this, the fare of super integral coach has been increased by 46 paise per kilometer. Now 290 paise will be charged per kilometer for super integral coach, which was 244 paise per kilometer earlier.

Due to this the fare was increased

Punjab Transport Department says that the fare hike has been done to increase revenue. The department estimates that the state will get additional revenue of Rs 150 crore due to the fare hike. Let us tell you that earlier the state government had increased the prices of petrol and diesel.
