After Ballia, Sitapur, now action on police in Mirzapur, 30 policemen of many police stations on line duty

After the police extortion case on the UP-Bihar border in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, the department has become alert. Now the department is identifying such police stations and taking action continuously. After Ballia and Sitapur, now due to complaints of illegal extortion in Mirzapur, about 30 constables from different police stations have been suspended by the Superintendent of Police. All these constables were posted at the same police station for many years.

In the order issued by Mirzapur Superintendent of Police, it has been said that the concerned in-charge should send the above mentioned head constable/constable to their newly appointed place. Strict action will be taken against those responsible for violating the rules.

They used to collect 5 lakh rupees from trucks every day

Every day, 5 lakh rupees were collected by the policemen on the UP-Bihar border in Ballia. This entire extortion racket was exposed by DIG Vaibhav Krishna and Varanasi rank ADG by posing as helpers in a truck. The involvement of policemen of Narhi police station was found in this entire case. After which 16 brokers including 2 policemen were arrested.

According to DIG Vaibhav Krishna and Varanasi rank ADG, the policemen used to collect Rs 500 from every truck passing by with the help of brokers. In this way, about 1000 trucks used to pass through here every day and Rs 5 lakh was collected every day by the policemen.

Till now action has been taken against policemen in these districts

After the Ballia extortion racket, the police department is continuously taking action. So far, action has been taken against policemen of many police stations of Ballia, Sitapur, Barabanki, Varanasi. It is said that the policemen posted at these police stations have not been transferred for the last several years.
