Lt. Col. Mohanlal Reaching Wayanad: South Indian film superstar Mohanlal reached the landslide-affected Wayanad district of Kerala on Saturday. Mohanlal is a lieutenant colonel in the Indian Territorial Army. After a brief discussion with officials at the army camp in Meppadi, Mohanlal left for the landslide-affected area along with others. He was wearing army uniform. Before leaving for the landslide-affected area in an army vehicle, Mohanlal told reporters that we are now going to the affected areas. Mohanlal was given the rank of lieutenant colonel in the Indian Territorial Army in 2009.

Mohanlal said, one of the biggest tragedies of India
After visiting the flood-affected areas, actor and honorary lieutenant colonel Mohanlal said, “We realise the gravity of the incident only when we go up and see. There is a lot of mud and not sure if people are still trapped inside. I thank all the people working here from the bottom of my heart… This is one of the biggest tragedies India has ever seen. We will not be able to get back what we have lost but we have to make up for it. We are sure how we can help them for their future.”
