A woman working in a foreign company was sexually harassed in Gurugram, the client forcefully entered her hotel room

In Gurugram, Haryana, adjacent to Delhi, the police have arrested a 32-year-old man on charges of sexually harassing a woman working for an American company in a hotel. The accused is a technical expert by profession and was a client of the company.

Regarding this, the officer said that the accused entered the woman’s hotel room in a drunken state. He said that in this regard, an FIR has been registered against the accused in Sector 29 police station.

According to the news agency, a senior police officer said that the accused used to work on a project on behalf of his company. However, after joining the investigation, the accused has been released on bail.

The 27-year-old victim, who lives in Noida, said that she had come to the hotel for a meeting on behalf of her company on Wednesday. Most of the people who attended the meeting stayed in the hotel overnight. The woman said in her complaint that her company’s client entered her room in an inebriated state at around 3:30 am on Thursday.

The hotel security personnel took the man out of the room and informed the police. Based on the woman’s FIR, the police registered an FIR under Section 75 (sexual harassment) of the Indian Justice Code at Sector 29 police station on Thursday and arrested the accused.

Sector 29 SHO Ravi Kumar said, ‘The accused has been released on bail after joining the investigation. Further investigation is being done in this case.
