A woman accused a famous Malayalam actor of sexual abuse, he clarified, saying – it’s all a lie

Malayalam cinema has been on fire since the Justice Hema Committee report came out. This report has revealed the physical and sexual abuse of women in the film industry. After the report came out, many actresses and other women of the industry have shared their stories, which have shocked people. Serious allegations are being made against big actors and directors of the industry. Now the name of actor Nivin Pauly has also been added to this list.

Big allegation on Nivin Pauly

A woman has accused Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly of sexual harassment. The woman has filed a complaint against 6 people including Nivin in a police station in Ernakulam, Kerala. According to police sources, the woman has accused 6 people in the case of sexual harassment. The first accused in this is Shreya. Apart from her, the names of producer AK Sunil, Binu, Basheer, Kuttan and Nivin Pauly are included in the case. Nivin is the sixth accused in this case.

It is being told that the accused Shreya came in contact with the complainant woman when she offered the woman a job as a caregiver in Europe. When the woman did not take up the job, Shreya asked for her money back. After this, the accused Shreya offered the woman a film. According to the complainant, she was given drugs and then sexually abused. The woman also says that the six accused have done something or the other to her on different occasions. All these cases took place in Dubai in November 2023.

The actor called the allegations baseless

Breaking his silence on the matter, Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly has also issued a statement. Nivin wrote in his statement, ‘I have come to know about a false news about me, in which I have been accused of exploiting a girl. I want to tell you that this is completely false. I am going to try my best to prove these allegations baseless. I will take every necessary step to bring to light those who are really accused of this. Thank you for your concern. The rest of the things will be handled legally.’

Talking about the Justice Hema Committee report, it was formed by the government in 2017 after the exploitation of an actress. Revelations have been made in this report about the exploitation and harassment of women in the Malayalam film industry. After the release of this report, many more women associated with South Cinema started telling the story of exploitation that happened with them. After this, on August 25, the Kerala government announced that it is forming a 7-member special investigation team to investigate the cases.
