In India, thousands of people are killed every year due to lightning. Meanwhile, in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district, on Monday, four labourers working in the field were struck by lightning. Due to which one labourer died while two survived. One was badly injured. He has been admitted for treatment.

At the time when the lightning struck, the fields lit up with a bright fire. Let us tell you that it has been raining continuously in Gujarat for the last several days. The Meteorological Department has said that the state will not get relief from rain before July 31.

Due to pre-monsoon, it is raining continuously in different parts of the country. Due to which many states have also been flooded. Assam is the most affected by the floods caused by rain. However, there has been improvement on Thursday, as the water level of major rivers has decreased and the number of people affected by floods in nine districts has come down to 66267.

The Assam Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) bulletin said that no person was killed on Thursday, but the death toll due to floods, landslides, storms and lightning remained at 114. The bulletin said that the number of people affected in 10 districts has come down to 66267 from Wednesday’s estimate of 69671.

Morigaon, Dhemaji, Hojai, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Nagaon, Golaghat, Goalpara and Jorhat are now in the list of flood-affected districts. The number of affected revenue circles remains 21 and the number of villages submerged in floodwater has come down to 184 from 190 the previous day.
