On the occasion of Nag Panchami, a snake fair is being organized in Samastipur, Bihar. People from other states also come to see it. According to tradition, on this day, people of Singhia village perform Puja and take a dip in the Budhi Gandak river and catch snakes with their hands and mouth and take them out of the river.
