A truck overturned in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand on Sunday, in which five people died and many were injured. The people who died were travelling in this truck.
Police said that the incident took place in Charhi police station area on Sunday evening at around 6:30 pm. They said that four people died on the spot, while one person died during treatment in the hospital.
The deceased have not been identified yet
According to news agency PTI, Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment and their condition is said to be stable. Along with this, the people who died are being identified.
Workers were going to set up tent material
Bishnugarh SDPO BN Prasad said that the people who died in this incident were labourers and were carrying pandal material in the truck. He said that the truck collided with the divider, due to which this accident happened. The labourers and artisans who were erecting the tent got buried under the iron poles loaded in the vehicle, due to which they died.
