In Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, a father of three children raped a mentally challenged woman for several months. After the case came to light, the victim’s family complained to the police, and the police registered an FIR. The family alleges that the accused has not been arrested yet. Now the accused’s family is pressuring them to withdraw the case.
The incident is from Barhalganj area of Gorakhpur district. When a 26-year-old girl from here started to swell in her stomach, her family thought that it might be a tumor, but time passed in the process of raising money. Recently, when the family raised money and got an ultrasound done, it was found that the girl was 9 months pregnant. The doctor has also told the date of delivery to be the end of August.

The victim’s mother told that she gave a written complaint to CO Gola Ratneshwar Singh and told that Munna son of Jhunjhun Paswan, resident of Marchipar, kept having illicit relations with our mentally deranged daughter, due to which she became pregnant. The incident was reported to the Barhalganj police station in-charge. After this, the police registered a case against Munna under section 376/2.
Police accused of not taking action
But, the accused has not been arrested yet. He is still absconding. Meanwhile, the accused’s real brothers Amarjeet, Chandrajeet and uncle Ramchandra are constantly pressuring and threatening to withdraw the case. The matter has also been reported to the Barhalganj police station, but the police have not yet arrested the accused. Also, no action has been taken against the family members who threatened.
Appealed to MP also
At the same time, the victim has also appealed to the current MP and minister of Bansgaon, Kamlesh Paswan, for the arrest of the accused, but due to the accused being absconding, the police have not been able to arrest him yet. Nor has any action been taken against the family members.
The victim’s aunt said this
On the other hand, the victim’s aunt said that in the initial days, when the victim’s stomach swelled, the family thought that she had some stomach disease. After a few days, when the size of the stomach increased further, we thought that there may be a tumor in the stomach, but to know the truth, we did not have the money to get an ultrasound done. Somehow, when we collected two thousand rupees, her ultrasound was done. Then the doctor told that she is 9 months pregnant and the delivery date has also been given in the last days of August.
What does the police say?
In this case, CO Gola Ratneshwar Singh said that he is aware of the matter. Soon the accused will be arrested and further action will be taken.
