A three-storey building has collapsed in Mumbai, Maharashtra. After heavy rains in Mumbai, a ground plus three-storey building built in Shahbaz village of Navi Mumbai suddenly collapsed. Many people are feared to be trapped due to the collapse of the building. A total of 24 families lived in the building,

Many people are buried under the debris. Police, fire brigade and NDRF are present at the spot. Rescue operation is going on. JCB has also been called on the spot and the debris is being removed.

A part of the building’s balcony had collapsed a few days ago

Let us tell you that just last week, a woman was killed and four others were injured when a part of the balcony of a building collapsed in Grant Road area of ​​Mumbai. The incident took place around 11:00 am in Rubinisa Manzil, a four-storey building located near Grant Road railway station. According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, a part of the balcony and slab on the second and third floors collapsed, and some parts hung dangerously.

A CCTV footage of the balcony of a building collapsing on Grant Road has surfaced. This footage is from the CCTV footage installed in a shop located at the spot, in which it can be seen that as soon as a woman comes out of her house and enters the street, debris falls from above and she gets buried under it. There is an atmosphere of chaos around, some people save their lives by entering the shop in time.

The rescue team pulled them out using various equipment. Four vehicles of the Mumbai Fire Brigade, a quick response vehicle (QRV), a rescue vehicle (RV), and a turntable ladder (TTL) were deployed at the spot. Officials deployed police, ambulances and ward staff to help in the rescue operations. The Mumbai Fire Brigade has rescued 13 people so far. Bhatia Hospital confirmed four injured, while a woman was declared dead on arrival.
