A minor boy allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in Bihar’s Bhojpur district. Police said on Monday that four people, including the accused boy, have been arrested in connection with the heinous incident.
Giving information, a police officer told PTI that Bhojpur police had earlier registered a case to investigate the crime that took place in Gundi village around 9 pm on Sunday night. Now the investigators are checking the documents of the minor boy to find out his exact age.
The police officer further said that on receiving the information, senior police officers immediately reached the spot and took the girl to the district hospital for medical examination. It is alleged that the minor boy sexually assaulted her while she was playing outside the house.
Bhojpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Pramod Kumar Yadav said that when the girl raised an alarm during the incident, the accused boy fled from the spot. However, the police is now waiting for the medical examination report.
The police officer said that after the incident, a large number of police forces have been deployed in that village of Kishangarh police station area to prevent any kind of disturbance, as the girl and the accused belong to different communities.
