The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour of Sri Lanka, where it has to play three ODIs and three T20 matches against the host team. Suryakumar Yadav will captain Team India in the T20 series on the Sri Lanka tour. At the same time, Rohit Sharma will lead the ODI team. This tour is also going to be special for former Team India opener Gautam Gambhir. With this tour, Gambhir is starting his tenure as head coach.

This is why the tension of Team India has increased!

A 3-match T20 series will be played between India and Sri Lanka, the first match of which is to be played on 27 July in Pallekele. However, India seems to be getting a big setback even before the start of the T20 series. According to media reports, fast bowler Mohammed Siraj got injured during the practice session. Siraj got injured in his right leg and was seen getting treatment. In such a situation, Siraj may now be out of the first T20 match.

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj’s role is going to be very important on the Sri Lanka tour, but his injury has increased the tension of the Indian team management. If Mohammed Siraj is out of the first T20 match, then Khalil Ahmed may get a chance and he can start bowling with Arshdeep Singh.
