On 23 July 2024, the body of a teenager was found lying in a sugarcane field in Sardhana area of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased girl was identified as Mehak, a resident of the same area, who was missing since 21 July 2024. After the body was found, there was a sensation, the relatives of the deceased had accused of gang rape and hiding the identity by pouring acid on the face. During the investigation, the police came to know that the teenager had a love affair with a youth named Haseen, who lived in the same village. The police took Haseen into custody and interrogated him. Then the whole matter came to light.
During interrogation, Haseen told the police that the teenager used to blackmail him and demand money from him. In one and a half years, he had given the teenager about two and a half lakh rupees. Apart from this, Haseen told the police that he did not do any work and used to sit at the shop with his brother. He was facing difficulty in arranging money every time. Troubled by these things, he made a plan to get rid of his girlfriend. The accused called her on the pretext of going to the restaurant and took her on a scooty to a sugarcane field in the village. There he slit her neck with a knife and fled after throwing the body there.
The girlfriend was extorting money by threatening to implicate him in a rape case
In this case, SP Rural Kamlesh Bahadur said that on the 23rd, the body of a minor girl was found in Sardhana area of Meerut. The family members of the deceased had told that a youth named Haseen, who lives in the same village, had kidnapped and murdered her. A case was registered on this complaint and an in-depth investigation of the case was started.
The police found out that Haseen and the teenager were friends. As per the plan, Haseen called the teenager to a restaurant on the 21st and killed her by slitting her throat. The accused was arrested and the knife used in the murder has also been recovered from him.
Police arrested the accused lover and sent him to jail
SP Rural Kamlesh Bahadur said that the teenager was in a love relationship with the accused and the girl was blackmailing him by threatening to implicate him in a rape case. The accused also said that he had given about two and a half lakh rupees to the girl, but the post-mortem report has not confirmed that acid was poured on the body.
