Supporters of US Vice President Kamala Harris have broken attendance records on Zoom. In less than 90 minutes, the Democratic presidential candidate has raised more than $2 million. Despite glitches, more than 1,64,000 people have participated in the largest Zoom meeting so far.

This Zoom fundraising event is being called ‘White Women: Answer the Call’. Popular American celebrities like Pink and Connie Britton also participated in it. This record-breaking call faced technical difficulties. Due to this, some attendees had to go to the YouTube livestream.

Joe Biden has given support

The Zoom program asked women across the country to join the livestream chat and invite their contacts to support Harris. Let us tell you that recently President Joe Biden has also given his support to Kamala Harris. Biden has withdrawn his name from the presidential race against Republican Donald Trump.

The biggest zoom call in history

One of the participants, Erin Gallagher, said, “We are not kidding when we said we broke Zoom’s record.” Another X user tweeted, “Zoom just broke a record. This is the biggest Zoom call in the company’s history. It raised $20,000 per minute. Pop-star Pink spoke from her plane. This is incredible! No wonder Trump is furious!”

Connie Britton expressed happiness

Connie Britton, famous for her role in ‘Friday Night Lights’, expressed happiness over the huge support received for Harris. Britton said, ‘When (Joe) Biden stepped down and supported Kamala Harris, the world went into a tizzy.’

Harris’s third massive Zoom call

The fundraiser was started by comedian Carol Leaf with a donation of $500,000. On the other hand, Pink emphasized the importance of women’s voices in the political field. This was the third massive Zoom call for Harris. It comes at a time when she aims to garner support and strengthen her position as the Democratic candidate. The previous Zoom call involved 44,000 black women and 50 thousand black men. These events raised $1.5 million and $1.3 million respectively.
