Kargil Vijay Diwas, PM Narendra Modi will visit Kargil on 26 July, i.e. today on the occasion of 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas and pay tribute to the braves who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. PM Modi will visit the Kargil War Memorial at around 9:20 am and pay tribute to the braves. Along with this, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Shinku La Tunnel Project. The project includes a 4.1 km long twin-tube tunnel, which will be constructed at an altitude of about 15800 feet on the Nimu-Padum-Darcha road. This will provide all-weather connectivity to Leh. It will be the highest tunnel in the world. It will not only ensure quick movement of armed forces and equipment, but will also promote socio-economic development in Ladakh.

Let us tell you, Kargil Vijay Diwas is a glorious day in the military history of India. Kargil is the area where the Indian and Pakistani army fought and liberated the Kargil Dras area from the occupation of the neighboring country. On this day the Indian Army wrote the Vijay saga against Pakistan. This military battle of India-Pakistan is celebrated as a symbol of victory in history and is celebrated every year as Kargil Vijay Diwas. On this day, India remembers the courage and sacrifice of the brave soldiers who protected the country.
