A case of rape of a foreign woman on the pretext of marriage has come to light from Bundi, Rajasthan. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and started investigation. In her complaint, the foreign woman told the police that the accused kept her in different hotels of Ajmer, Jaipur for 15 days and kept raping her. Both of them met through Facebook, first they became friends and then they fell in love.
Superintendent of Police Hanuman Prasad Meena said that the victim is a resident of America, in her written complaint she said that she had become friends with a young man named Manav Singh Rathore on Facebook.
Foreign woman raped on pretext of marriage
During the first conversation, Manav had introduced himself as a lawyer. He raped her in Ajmer, Jaipur by promising to marry her. The victim reached the Superintendent of Police through an NGO and told her ordeal. Seeing the seriousness of the case, the police got the victim medically examined and started the investigation.
Police registered a case and started investigation
The victim told the police that the accused lawyer kept raping her on the pretext of marriage. To deceive her, the accused took her to a temple and pretended to marry her. When the girl insisted on going to his house from the hotel, she saw that his wife and a child were already at home. Then with the help of an NGO, she first lodged a zero FIR and then approached the Superintendent of Police. The police say that the case is being investigated seriously, the accused will be arrested soon.
