Charanjit Singh Channi in the Lok Sabha.

monsoon session of parliament, MP from Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat of Punjab and former Chief Minister of the state Charanjit Singh Channi raised the issue of Amritpal Singh in the House on Thursday. During the discussion in the Lok Sabha, he referred to the Emergency and said that an undeclared emergency has been imposed in the country. During this, he said that the MP elected by lakhs of people is in jail today. NSA has been imposed on him. He is not able to present the people of his area in the House.

Counter attack on Channi’s statement

Union Minister of State and BJP MP Ravneet Singh Bittu has hit back at the statement of MP Charanjit Singh Channi. Ravneet Singh Bittu said that a former CM is behaving like a traitor and misleading the whole country through the House. Channi said that NSA has been imposed on farmers, but on whom has it actually been imposed? On those who wanted to break the country and Punjab. He said that NSA has been imposed against the farmers and this is absolutely wrong.

Further, the Union Minister said that a former CM has talked about dividing the country and Punjab. Congress and Rahul Gandhi were sitting in front of him and were making him say this. When we asked him to bring evidence in the House, he went on the backfoot and had no answer. The Congress party and the entire Indi alliance are embarrassed because of him.

Channi attacked the government

Apart from this, Charanjit Singh Channi said that the central agencies are released against the opposition leaders by the government. Thousands of farmers are called Khalistani. Highways have been blocked to prevent farmers from coming to Haryana. Along with this, he said that Manipur has been burning for the last one and a half years, which has been left on its own.
