As the assembly elections in Maharashtra are approaching, the political upheaval has intensified. The state’s Deputy CM and NCP National President Ajit Pawar met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Wednesday morning. He reached Delhi last night. He met the Union Home Minister during his 7-hour visit from 1 am to 8 am.

After the meeting between Amit Shah and Ajit Pawar, senior BJP leader and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis reached Delhi early in the morning. According to sources, this meeting was held to discuss the seat sharing of the NDA-led Mahayuti alliance for the upcoming assembly elections.

During the meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, Ajit Pawar insisted on finalizing the seat sharing as soon as possible. He said that the seat sharing should not be postponed till the last moment like in the Lok Sabha elections. Keeping this in mind, Ajit Pawar had sought time to meet Amit Shah. It is being said that he wants to contest elections on 80-90 seats.

BJP wants to contest elections on 170-180 seats

Recently, in the BJP core committee meeting, the party leaders had demanded that the party should contest on 17-180 seats in the upcoming assembly elections. At the same time, Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde also demanded many important seats in the assembly elections. Party leader Ram Kadam has clarified in a statement that Shinde’s Shiv Sena will not contest the assembly elections on less than 100 seats.

The Maharashtra Congress leader said that neither Ajit Pawar nor Eknath Shinde understand what BJP is. The way Shinde and Ajit Pawar were given a chance today and lost it.
