On the third day of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, when the proceedings of the House began, the MPs of the INDIA Block protested by making the budget an issue. The leaders of the opposition parties termed the budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday as ‘discriminatory’. The opposition parties created a ruckus in the Parliament by making the budget an issue and accused the budget of discriminating against the states.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge called the budget a ‘misleading’ budget and said, “We are fighting for justice. The budget has only served the interests of BJP allies. This budget is only to satisfy its allies, nothing has been given to anyone.”

Opposition MPs walked out of the Rajya Sabha saying that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s speech did not even mention non-BJP ruled states.
