Congress But budget 2024, The country’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget for 2024-25 in Parliament today, but the Congress is calling it not the country’s budget but a budget to save the government. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi called this budget a chair-save budget. After the budget was presented, Congress MPs said in an exclusive conversation with Times Now Navbharat that in this budget, the government has not looked at the common people but has only distributed freebies to the state governments of its alliance parties. The names of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh were echoing in the entire budget speech. Deputy Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi said that the budget is disappointing. No plan of the government to end unemployment is visible in the budget.

Congress President Kharge called it a copycat budget

Congress party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge wrote on X that Modi government’s “copycat budget” could not even copy Congress’s agenda of justice properly! Modi government’s budget is distributing half-hearted “rewadis” to dupe its alliance partners so that NDA survives. This is not a “country’s progress” budget, it is a “save Modi government” budget! There is nothing in this budget for women, which would increase their economic capacity and involve them more and more in the workforce.

Meanwhile, Congress Communication Department General Secretary Jairam Ramesh wrote on X that finally the government has accepted that there is a crisis in the MSME sector, but the government’s policies in the last 10 years have been responsible for this.

Congress MPs from Punjab protest in Parliament

After the budget was over, Congress MPs from Punjab raised slogans against the government inside the Parliament and said that the Finance Minister did not mention Punjab even once in the budget speech, why is that? Because BJP did not get a single seat from Punjab. This is the state of Punjab whose soldiers protect the country on the border. The government gave the relief and rescue scheme to its ally party. We protested in the Parliament because our demand is that Nirmala Sitharaman should also make an announcement for Punjab in the budget review.
