I have fought as many battles as I had to – PM

PM Modi said, ‘Today India is full of opportunities. This in itself is an important milestone in India’s development journey. Since last January, we have fought as much battle as we had the capability to. Whatever we had to tell the public, we have told it. Some tried to show the way, while others tried to mislead. But that era is over. The countrymen have given their decision. Now it is the duty of all the elected MPs that we have to fight for the country for the next five years. We have to fight with great decency.’

‘Work to fulfill the dream of a developed nation’

The Prime Minister said, ‘I would like to tell all political parties that we should rise above party politics and work only for the country for the next four and a half years. After January 2029, you can go to the field, play whatever games you want to play in those six months, but until then, be a part of a mass movement for the strength and empowerment of the country and its poor, farmers, youth and women so that the dream of a developed nation by 2047 can be fulfilled.’

Rajnath said- ready to discuss all issues

Earlier, while chairing the all-party meeting, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also advised the opposition parties to be ready to discuss all issues with an open heart. He said that the ruckus and disruption caused by the opposition parties in both the houses – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha – during the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last session was not appropriate for parliamentary tradition.
