World Heritage Committee: PM Modi inaugurated it, India is hosting it for the first time

World Heritage Committee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee on Sunday. UNESCO Director General Audrey Azole was also present during this. At the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, PM Modi said, as technology is developing, the scope of research and tourism in the heritage sector is increasing. He said, the meeting of the World Heritage Committee in India will write new success stories.

Let us tell you, India is hosting this major UNESCO event for the first time from July 21 to July 31. Before the inauguration, the Prime Minister visited an exhibition at Bharat Mandapam, which displays some of the artifacts brought back to the country. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has said in a statement that so far more than 350 artifacts have been brought back to the country. The UNESCO Director General, wearing a sari, was also present with Modi during the exhibition.
