Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the reorganization of the NITI Aayog in his third term. Many NDA allies have now entered the NITI Aayog. Leaders of JDS, HAM, LJP, JDU have now been included in the NITI Aayog. Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been included as an ex-officio member and Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda as a special invitee member.

Which ministers entered?

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat late Tuesday evening, apart from Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Heavy Industries and Steel Minister HD Kumaraswamy and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi have been included as special invitees in the Commission. Other special invitees include Panchayati Raj, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Affairs Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar, Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu, Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Statistics and Program Implementation and Planning Rao Indrajit Singh.

There is no change in these positions

There has been no change in the vice-chairman and full-time members of the commission. Apart from Chauhan, the ex-officio members of the commission include Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the chairman of the commission, while Suman K Berry is the vice-chairman. Full-time members are VK Saraswat, Professor Ramesh Chand, Dr. VK Paul and Arvind Virmani.
