Major road accident in West Bengal: Heavy collision between lorry and ambulance, six people including two women died

west bengal road accident news, A horrific road accident has taken place in West Bengal. A lorry and an ambulance collided violently here. Six people died and many others were injured in this accident. All the injured have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Officials said that an ambulance was coming to Medinipur Medical College from Ghatal with patients while the lorry was going from Medinipur direction towards Keshpur. Then the accident happened near Badi Pole near Panchami. Both the vehicles collided violently. Most of the people travelling in the ambulance were injured in the accident.

Ambulance blown to pieces

The collision between the ambulance and the lorry was so severe that the ambulance was completely damaged. Six people including two women died on the spot in the accident. According to eyewitnesses, there were seven people in the ambulance and two people including the driver in the lorry. After receiving information about the accident, officials along with the police team also reached the spot. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem, while the injured have been taken to the hospital.

The injured were sent to hospital

Superintendent of Police Dhritiman Sarkar gave information about the incident. He said, a lorry loaded with cement and an ambulance from Keshpur collided. Six people died and two people were injured. The injured have been admitted to Medinipur Medical College Hospital. The injured are residents of Chandrakona Khirpai area. Two women are also among the dead.
