After the allegation of using fake certificate in the civil service examination, the central government has formed a committee to investigate. Let us tell you, Pooja Khedkar has been accused of misusing the benefits under the physically handicapped category and Other Backward Classes (OBC) quota to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

The Centre said in a statement that the 2023 batch of officers, who have been allotted Maharashtra cadre, will be scrutinised by an additional secretary-level officer to verify their candidature claims and other details. The statement issued by the central government said that the committee will submit its report in two weeks.

Meanwhile, Khedkar on Thursday took over her new charge as assistant collector at Washim district collectorate in Vidarbha region. She was transferred from Pune, where she had allegedly threatened people and also had a red beacon on her personal Audi car. She was transferred from Pune to Washim on Monday following allegations of misbehaviour. Khedkar on Thursday arrived at her office in Washim in a Bolero car, which was different from the Audi car with red beacon that she used when she was in Pune.

The bungalow’s doors were found closed

Meanwhile, when a team of Pune police went to Pooja Khedkar’s bungalow to inspect the Audi car in connection with the violation of red light and VIP number, they found the gates of the bungalow closed. Her mother, who was present in the premises, tried to prevent the media from making a video of the scene. Khedkar was transferred to Washim after Pune District Magistrate Suhas Divase wrote a letter to the state’s Additional Chief Secretary Nitin Gadre requesting that Khedkar be considered for posting in some other district to avoid administrative complications.
