NEET Paper Leak: Hearing on NEET paper leak case postponed in Supreme Court, now decision may come on July 18

The Supreme Court can give an important decision on this day. The Supreme Court said that it will hear the NEET-UG case on Thursday, July 18. The Supreme Court said in its order that some of the parties to the case have not received the affidavits filed by the Center and NTA and they need to prepare their answers before the debate.

38 petitions reached the Supreme Court

38 petitions from across the country had reached the Supreme Court in the NEET paper leak case. The court had listed these petitions for hearing together. A long hearing has been held in this case. While hearing the petitions on July 8, a bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud had asked many sharp questions to the government and sought answers to them. After this, the hearing was listed for July 11.

Central government filed affidavit

The Central Government has filed its affidavit in the Supreme Court in the NEET case. It states that the Central Government is not in favor of conducting the examination again. Along with this, the Center is also bound to address the concerns of the students who have given the NEET exam 2024. The Center has said that there is no abnormality in the data analytics of the exam results nor are there any signs of large-scale irregularities. It has also been said in the affidavit that if any irregularity of any candidate is found during or after counseling, then his seat will be canceled.

CBI also submitted the report

CBI has also submitted the report in the NEET exam case. It has been said in this report that the paper was not leaked online, it was leaked only locally. Let us tell you, in the last hearing, the Supreme Court had expressed concern in this regard and said that if the NEET paper has been leaked electronically i.e. online, then it can spread like wildfire. Due to this, the exam will have to be cancelled. It was also said that it should be ascertained how many students were benefited by the paper leak.
