Who is it IAS Pooja Khedkar, Maharashtra cadre IAS officer Pooja Khedkar is once again embroiled in controversy. She has been accused of getting an IAS job on the basis of fake documents. An official has said that 2022 batch IAS officer Pooja Khedkar had allegedly submitted fake disability and Other Backward Classes (OBC) certificates to pass the civil services examination.

Let us tell you, a few days ago Pooja Khedkar was accused of misusing her position. She used red-blue lights and VIP number plates on her personal Audi car. After complaints surfaced, she was transferred from Pune district to Washim. Now it has come to light that she had allegedly used fake certificates.

What is the allegation against IAS Pooja Khedkar?

An official said that Pooja Khedkar had appeared in the civil services examination under the OBC and visually impaired categories and had also submitted a certificate of mental illness. In April 2022, she was asked to go to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi for verification of her disability certificate, but she did not do so citing corona virus infection. The official said that her father Dilip Khedkar (who is a former state government official) had declared the value of his assets to be Rs 40 crore while contesting the recent Lok Sabha elections. Whereas, Pooja Khedkar appeared in the civil services examination under the OBC category, where the creamy layer limit is Rs eight lakh annual parental income.

Father and grandfather have been administrative officers

Pooja Khedkar comes from an administrative family. She secured 841st rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Pooja Khedkar’s father Dilip Khedkar has been an officer in the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB). Her grandfather was also an administrative officer. Pooja Khedkar’s mother is the elected Sarpanch of Bhalgaon in Ahmednagar district.
