Pappu Yadav contested the election as an independent candidate

Before the Lok Sabha elections, Pappu Yadav had expressed his desire to merge his ‘Jan Adhikar Party’ with Congress and contest the Lok Sabha elections on the party ticket, but after RJD fielded Bima Bharti, Yadav contested the elections as an independent candidate.
