NEET Paper Leak: Student organizations protest at Jantar Mantar against NEET paper leak, demand resignation of Education Minister

neet paper leak Oppose: The Supreme Court heard the NEET paper leak case on Monday. Meanwhile, student organizations protested at Jantar Mantar. The student organizations involved in the protest say that papers are leaking every year. The government is not concerned about the future of the students. The students raised slogans against the government and demanded the resignation of the Education Minister. Students from NSUI, AISA and Samajwadi organizations participated in this protest at Jantar Mantar.

Student organizations took part in the protest

Actually, Congress Youth had announced to protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi regarding the rigging in NEET. After this, student organizations of different parties took part in this protest on Monday. People associated with NSUI, AISA and Samajwadi Student Wing mainly participated in the protest. During this, the protesters raised slogans fiercely.

Education Minister’s resignation sought

During the demonstration at Jantar Mantar, people from Shiv Sena (UBT), Aam Aadmi Party, Muslim League organization also participated. The protesting student leaders said that one paper after another is getting leaked and the government is not doing anything. The Union Education Minister should resign from his post. The student leaders involved in the demonstration further said that papers are getting leaked continuously for the last several years. The government is not concerned about the students. Unemployment is increasing in the country, inflation is increasing and people are being made to fight among themselves in the name of Hindu-Muslim. Youth Congress National President Srinivas BV, Congress National Spokesperson Alok Sharma and student union presidents of different parties also participated in the demonstration.

What did the Supreme Court say?

While hearing the case, the Supreme Court asked several questions to the government. The court said that if the sanctity of the medical entrance exam NEET-UG 2024 has been ‘destroyed’ and if its leaked question paper has been circulated through social media, then a re-examination will have to be ordered. A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra also said that if the question paper is being leaked through Telegram, WhatsApp and electronic means, then it will ‘spread like wildfire.’ The bench said, ‘One thing is clear that the question paper has been leaked.’ The court has asked the Central Bureau of Investigation, which is investigating the matter, to file a status report. The court will hear the case next on July 11.
