According to the information received, a devotee died while pulling the Taladhwaj chariot of Lord Balabhadra in the Jagannath Rath Yatra. The deceased has not been identified yet. It is being said that he died due to suffocation. The devotee was immediately taken to Puri District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Many people were hospitalized

Sources said that more than 300 persons were rushed to the Puri district headquarters hospital, of which about 50 were discharged after first aid. Odisha’s health secretary rushed to the hospital to assess the situation.
