Gujarat accident: Two children were killed and several others injured when a bus carrying 65 passengers overturned on a highway in Gujarat’s Dang district on Sunday, police said.
Two children died as bus overturned
The accident occurred in the evening on the national highway, about two kilometres from the hill town of Saputara, an official said. “Two children were killed when a bus carrying tourists overturned,” the official said. He said the bus was carrying tourists from Surat who had come to visit Saputara and were returning.
Treatment is going on in a private hospital
The official said three passengers were being treated at a private hospital and the other injured were taken to a community health centre. He said the bus broke the safety wall while trying to overtake another vehicle on the highway.
