Hathras stampede Updates: Narayan Sakar Hari’s lawyer AP Singh claimed that at least 15-16 people were covering their faces during the satsang on July 2 where a stampede occurred, resulting in the death of 121 people. The stampede at the satsang of self-styled godman Suraj Pal alias Narayan Sakar Hari was not an accident but a conspiracy, claimed the baba’s lawyer AP Singh.

Addressing the media on Sunday, AP Singh claimed that at least 15-16 people with their faces covered were present during the satsang on July 2 where the stampede occurred, resulting in the death of 121 people. According to Singh, these people sprayed poisonous gas in the crowd and then fled in a car.

‘There was a conspiracy to implicate Bhole Baba (another name for Narayan Sakar Hari)’

“There was a conspiracy to implicate Bhole Baba (another name for Narayan Sakar Hari),” AP Singh said, showing clearance receipts obtained from the police, fire and traffic departments. AP Singh urged the police to seize CCTV footage of the incident, which would be crucial in nabbing the culprits.

‘This is not an accident. This is a murder’

AP Singh claimed, ‘This is not an accident. This is a murder.’ So far, the Uttar Pradesh police have arrested nine people, including two women and three senior citizens. Among them, several sevadars (volunteers) of the satsang have been accused, including Dev Prakash Madhukar, the main organizer of the Hathras satsang.

Madhukar Narayan used to raise funds for Sakar Hari’s events

According to the police, Madhukar used to raise funds for Narayan Sakar Hari’s events and collect donations. However, AP Singh, representing Madhukar, claimed that he himself surrendered before the police in Delhi, where he had come for treatment. Suraj Pal, who is not named as an accused in the FIR, has been missing since the July 2 incident.
