Flood wreaks havoc in Kushinagar! Nepal releases water, Narayani river in spate; many villages submerged

Kushinagar Flood, Floods are wreaking havoc in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. Here, everything from fields, houses, schools to hospitals is submerged in water. The Narayani river is also in spate and water has also been released from Nepal. Shivpur, Hariharpur, Marichhawa, Narayanpur villages across the Narayani river in Kushinagar’s Khadda police station are submerged in water. DM Umesh Mishra, SP Dhawal Jaiswal and MLA Vivekanand Pandey reached on a tractor to visit these villages. Where they took stock of the flood situation and inquired about the condition of the victims.

NDRF rescued the people

Nepal has released 4.4 cusecs of water, due to which the water level of the Narayani river has increased further. Roads and houses are flooded. Due to the flood, about 60 people were stranded on the other side of the Narayani river. These people have been rescued by the NDRF team. The police post and hospital here have all been flooded. The local administration including ADM Vaibhav Mishra is camping in the village.

Traffic stopped, water filled in houses

Many villages in Kushinagar are in the grip of floods. Due to which the life here is badly affected. The roads are submerged in water, due to which movement is closed. Schools are also filled with water. Due to which the studies of children are also stopped. The children of the village are bathing in water instead of studying in the primary school. Houses are also filled with water. Due to which women have taken shelter on trolleys.
