Terrorist encounter: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain said on Sunday that killing six terrorists in two encounters in Kulgam district is a big achievement for the security forces. The DGP said, “Six terrorists have been killed at two different encounter sites. This is a big achievement for the security forces.”

He said, “People are uniting to eliminate terrorism and the operation is gaining momentum. The current operation is still going on. We have also received reports of local terrorists joining in.” DGP Swain said, “The ongoing operations indicate a concerted effort to eliminate terrorist networks and enhance the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. The involvement of local terrorists underlines the complex challenges faced by security forces in the region.”

6 terrorists killed in the encounter, two soldiers martyred

Let us tell you that six terrorists were killed in the encounter going on in two villages Chinnigam and Mudargam of Kulgam district. However, a National Rifles Para Commando Lance Naik Pradeep Nain and Havildar Raj Kumar have been martyred in the encounter with the terrorists.

The security forces had received information about the presence of terrorists in Mudargam and Chinnigam villages, located about 12 km from each other in Kulgam district. After this, the security forces started a cordon and search operation. During this time, an encounter started between the security forces and the terrorists.
