Jagannath Rath Yatra, The world famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath to be held in Puri, Odisha is starting today. On this occasion, many eminent personalities including the President, Vice President, Prime Minister have wished the countrymen. President Draupadi Murmu has prayed for the prosperity of the country through social media. She has written, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all the countrymen on the occasion of the world famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. Today, countless Jagannath-lovers from the country and the world are waiting enthusiastically to see the three forms of Bhagavat seated on the chariot. On the occasion of this great festival, I pray to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath for everyone’s happiness, peace and prosperity. Jai Jagannath!

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar has also described the Sri Jagannath Yatra as divine. He wrote, My best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Sri Jagannath Yatra! Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra has deep historical and cultural significance, rooted in ancient Indian traditions, reflecting devotion, unity and rich heritage. As we celebrate this holy occasion, may the divine journey of Lord Jagannath bring us health, happiness and spiritual satisfaction. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prayed for the blessings of God to remain. It is written in the social post, Best wishes on the beginning of the holy Rath Yatra. We bow to Mahaprabhu Jagannath and pray that his blessings remain on us forever.

Amit Shah participated in Mangala Aarti

Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the Mangala Aarti of Shri Jagannath Temple in Ahmedabad on this auspicious occasion. He also described the Rath Yatra as an auspicious occasion to preserve the Indian cultural heritage. Amit Shah said, Mahaprabhu Jagannath ji’s Rath Yatra is an auspicious occasion to preserve the Indian cultural heritage and prosperity and to provide new growth, which is celebrated with great devotion by crores of devotees of the country. This Yatra is a symbol that Indian culture is driven by instinct and celebration and spirituality are its pivots. I extend my heartfelt wishes to all the countrymen on Mahaprabhu’s Rath Yatra and pray to Mahaprabhu Jagannath, Veer Balabhadra and Mata Subhadra for everyone’s welfare and progress. Jai Jagannath!

Foreign Minister also wished

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has also expressed his sentiments on Twitter wishing prosperity. He wrote, “Best wishes on the auspicious occasion of the commencement of Rath Yatra. May the blessings of Lord Jagannath fill our lives with health, happiness and spiritual prosperity.” BJP National President JP Nadda has also wished happiness and good fortune on this auspicious occasion. In his tweet, Nadda has written, “Today, on the auspicious occasion of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Ji’s Rath Yatra, I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all the countrymen. Today’s auspicious occasion is to nurture and prosper our faith, culture and heritage. I pray that Lord Balabhadra, Mother Subhadra and Mahaprabhu Jagannath Ji fill everyone’s life with happiness, good fortune and prosperity. May new enthusiasm and excitement be created in the entire creation.”

Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has also told about Jagannath Dham of Bengal through X. She has written, Heartiest greetings to all on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra today. May this day bring peace, harmony and prosperity to all by the grace of Lord Jagannath. Today, lakhs of people will join the Rath festival across Bengal. At the historic Mahesh (where we have renovated the heritage temple), there will be a huge gathering; at ISKCON Kolkata, I will be a part of the Lord’s journey. We all look forward to next year’s Rath Yatra at our new Jagannath Dham in Digha! Jai Jagannath!!! Madhya Pradesh CM Dr Mohan Yadav and Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav today prayed to Lord Jagannath at the Jagadeesh Temple in Ujjain and wished for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state. At the same time, Gujarat CM Bhupendrabhai Patel also gave his best wishes.
