Tejashwi Yadav , Politics has heated up over the bridge accidents in Bihar. There is a lot of politics going on between JD-U and RJD on this issue. Leaders are blaming each other for these accidents. RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav has hit back at JD-U leaders for being held responsible for the bridge collapse. Tejaswi said on Friday that the Rural Works Department was with JD-U for 17 years. If the truth is to be revealed then JD-U should release the list of approvals of bridges, their tenders, foundation stone laying and inaugurations. Tejaswi said that he is being held responsible for leaking the papers and the collapse of the bridge, if this is so then the government should arrest him.

Talking to the media, the RJD leader said that ‘There is a double engine government in Bihar but more than a dozen bridges have collapsed here within 20 days. Many railway accidents have happened, murders are happening in Bihar. The paper is getting leaked but the people of the double engine government are not ready to speak on this. They say that Tejashwi has got the paper leaked. We are the ones who are getting the bridges demolished. We are the ones who are getting people killed. I say that the government is yours, arrest me.’

Tejashwi further said, ‘But one thing needs to be understood. JD-U leaders said that we had the Rural Works Department for 17 months but we wanted to tell those leaders that we had five departments but who had the Rural Works Department for 17 years. We challenge the Chief Minister and BJP leaders to find out when the bridges that have collapsed were approved, when their tenders and foundation stones were laid. When were they inaugurated, release a complete list of these, this will make the truth clear. It will be known who is corrupt.’

District Magistrate Aman Sameer said that this is the third incident of bridge collapse in Saran within the last 24 hours. He said, ‘A high-level investigation has been ordered to find out the reasons for the collapse of these small bridges in the district.’ Four small bridges collapsed in Saran and Siwan districts on Wednesday. Local people say that this may have happened due to heavy rainfall for the last few days.

12 bridges have collapsed since June 18-Tejashwi
