  1. Recognition: Beneficiaries will receive a PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card, acknowledging their skills and contributions.
  2. Skill Upgradation: The scheme provides basic training of 5-7 days and advanced training of 15 days or more, with a daily stipend of ₹500 for the participants.
  3. Toolkit Incentive: Eligible beneficiaries will receive a toolkit incentive of up to ₹15,000 in the form of e-vouchers at the start of the basic skill training.
  4. Credit Support: The scheme offers collateral-free ‘Enterprise Development Loans’ of up to ₹3 lakh, disbursed in two tranches of ₹1 lakh and ₹2 lakh, with tenures of 18 months and 30 months, respectively. These loans are provided at a concessional interest rate of 5% per annum, with the government providing an 8% subvention.
  5. Incentive for Digital Transactions: Beneficiaries will receive ₹1 per eligible digital transaction, up to a maximum of 100 transactions per month, to encourage the adoption of digital payment methods.
  6. Marketing Support: The scheme provides marketing support in the form of quality certification, branding, onboarding on e-commerce platforms, advertising, and other promotional activities to improve the artisans’ and craftspeople’s linkage to the value chain.
  7. Onboarding on Udyam Assist Platform: Beneficiaries will be enrolled as ‘entrepreneurs’ in the formal MSME ecosystem through the Udyam Assist Platform.

To be eligible, applicants must possess an Aadhaar card, voter ID, proof of occupation, a mobile number, bank account details, an income certificate, and a caste certificate (if applicable).

  1. Enrollment: Applicants can enroll through the Common Service Centres (CSCs) with Aadhaar-based biometric authentication on the PM Vishwakarma portal.
  2. Verification: The enrollment of beneficiaries is followed by a three-step verification process:
  • Verification at the Gram Panchayat/Urban Local Body (ULB) level
  • Vetting and recommendation by the District Implementation Committee
  • Approval by the Screening Committee

As of June 27, 2024, the PM Vishwakarma Yojana has made significant progress. According to the official website, 2,23,06,310 applications have been submitted, with 1,04,69,770 applications verified at the Gram Panchayat or ULB/Zone level, 18,47,925 applications checked by the District Implementation Committee, and 13,33,777 applications approved by the Screening Committee. Ultimately, 13,19,741 applicants have been successfully registered under the scheme.
