Haryana Assembly Elections, All India Congress Committee has issued a form for the candidates who are interested in contesting the Haryana Vidhan Sabha elections. Interested candidates can submit the form along with the demand draft at the state office by 31st July. As a cash amount, general category applicants have to submit 20 thousand, applicants for reserved seats have to submit 5 thousand, while women or scheduled caste and backward class candidates interested in general seats have to submit a demand draft of 5 thousand along with the application form. If the interested candidate does not submit the money amount along with the application form, he/she will be excluded from the race for the ticket. In its application form, Congress has sought information about the interested candidate from joining Congress to what work he/she has done for the party, being expelled from the party, contesting elections in the past and any kind of police case or serving a sentence.

Let us tell you, the number of claimants for tickets in assembly elections is more than in Lok Sabha elections, so it will help the party in collecting funds. The thinking behind fixing the application fee by Congress is that only real leaders who are actually claimants to contest the elections will be able to apply for the ticket. Out of 90 assembly seats in Haryana, 17 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes. The party has decided that the general category candidates will have to deposit a fee of Rs 20,000 along with the application in the party office.
