Huge increase in the country’s defence production.
India’S Defence Manufacturing , Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said India’s defence production has increased by 16.8 per cent in the financial year 2023-24. This growth has been 16.8 per cent from the previous financial year to Rs 1,26,887 crore. He said that the ‘Make in India’ program is setting new records. Singh said that the government is committed to creating a more favorable system to develop India as a leading global defense manufacturing hub.
The highest growth ever recorded
He said in a post on ‘X’ that the ‘Make in India’ program under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is setting new records year after year. Singh said, ‘India has recorded the highest ever increase in the value of defense production in 2023-24. Defense production has reached Rs 1,26,887 crore in 2023-24, which is 16.8 percent more than the value of production of the previous financial year.’
