IDBI Bank is seeking to hire for the post of Chief Customer Service Officer (CCSO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) on a contract basis, with one vacancy available for each post.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
To be eligible for the CCSO and DPO positions, candidates must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A person from Nepal
- A person from Bhutan
- A Tibetan who came to India before January 1, 1962, and intends to live in India permanently
- A person of Indian origin who moved from Pakistan, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam and intends to live in India permanently.

Educational Qualification and Work Experience
- For DPO: Graduation or equivalent, with a minimum of seven years of experience in banking, regulation, supervision, payment and settlement systems, and/or consumer protection.
- For CCSO: (a) A retired or serving officer, in the rank equivalent to a General Manager of another bank / Financial Sector Regulatory Body / NBSP / NBFC /CIC. (b) Must not have been previously employed or presently employed with IDBI Bank or any of IDBI Bank’s related parties. Minimum seven years of experience in areas such as banking, regulation, supervision, payment and settlement systems, and/or consumer protection.
Desired Certification for DPO
Candidates for the DPO role are desired to have one or more of the following certifications:
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) (CIPP Europe / CIPP-Asia)
- Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)
- Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP)
- Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)
- Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE)
- PECB Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO)
- Certified in Data Protection (CDP) / ISO 27001/ NIST 800-53/ CISM/CISA
Age Limit
- DPO: 45 to 60 years as of May 1, 2024
- CCSO: Maximum 65 years as of June 01, 2024
